TPE is petroleum based while Latex is a natural rubber extract. Latex is typically stronger and has more elasticity while being biodegradable. While the greener option, Latex can become brittle over time so must be kept out of sunlight and lubricated from time to time.
TPE however, does last longer and can be an alternative for those with Latex allergies!
